Hello,

I'm Devin Hunter I'm the Founder-operator of Creative Concrete which is a flatwork company that I've built over the last 15 years. Through the work that me and my team have done over the years, and the network I've cultivated in North Dakota we are able to work constantly throughout the working months April-November.

I've recently started a new place & finish company called Evolved Concrete Finishing, which will oversee all the place/finish work of my current company Creative Concrete, and take on projects of its own.

Our plan is simple, build a lean and agile company, capable of taking on major projects and the ability to pivot depending on what the market demands. 

We’re currently looking to fill the position of Field Leader, this person will be my partner, and must be an individual who has over a decade of experience in the field with place & finish work in a senior position in a company.

This individual must be comfortable and competent around running pours of up to 15,000sqft, as they will be working and leading in the field.

The person as my partner will of course participate in a share of the companies profits that will increase year-year on a sliding scale, in addition to wages.

This is lucrative position for the right individual, as I am willing to partner with you in this venture. Management skills and extensive experience in specifically concrete placing & finishing will obviously be required. 

This partnership opportunity is for you if you're currently working as a GM, Foreman, Superintendent or Project Manager for another company, but they aren't giving you a piece of the pie, and you want in on the company you're working with.

Compensation

  • Profit Sharing/Equity Up To 50% - Wages are negotiable

Job Description


Evolved Concrete Finishing seeks a highly motivated Partner & Field Leader for its place & finish concrete business. This is a place and finish company so direct experience with placing & finishing concrete is required, and you must be willing and able to work in the field doing the work, and leading the team to complete projects.

My concrete construction business will sub out all place and finish work to Evolved Concrete Finishing, and of course we will source work from other clients and customers.

Tasks

  • Take ownership of daily field management tasks
  • Lead crew to project completion
  •  Identify the strong points of individual crew members and directing them accordingly
  • ​Troubleshoot and find solutions for obstacles within projects
  • ​Confer with as well as direct supervisory personnel plus subcontractors engaged in planning executing work procedures, interpret specifications, and coordinate various phases of construction to prevent delays
  • ​Coordinate with subcontractors such as concrete pump & laser screed operators 
  • ​Coordinate with Ready Mix suppliers
  • ​Plan, organize, and manage materials, equipment
  • ​Establish and enforce execution of project objectives, schedules, policies, procedures, and performance standards
  • ​Identify and implement processes in collaboration with management to minimize expenses and eliminate waste
  • ​Coordinate with office staff and virtual team members when necessary
  • ​Support sales initiatives to generate additional place and finish work for the crew

Skill Requirements

  • Strong knowledge in concrete placement and finishing
  • Very strong interpersonal communication skills
  •  Strong project management and construction job site activity knowledge
  • Expertise in construction operations management
